  • Not a WM member but want to rent a WM property

My title pretty much sums it up. I'm looking for about three nights next September in Windsor area in two two bedroom units. Would a post on the WM owners forum be my best bet? Or maybe though Ebay?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I would suggest contacting Worldmark. It seems they have a program these days where people can buy one-time use credits just to "try it out".

Just an update. I emailed rentals@wyndhamvo.com - Worldmark, presumably. They said that I can rent directly from them at 60 days out, and the anticipated price for a two bedroom unit would be $110 midweek and $130 on the weekend. I think that's pretty good and will probably go with that right at 60 days - if there's inventory to be had, I would think they would have it!!

Thanks very much for all the feedback, both here and privately.

wow, it's 0.088 per credit for a weekday and 0.0722 per credit for weekend without TOT, housekeeping fee etc. Why bother to buy a membership?

Units can be rented for your dates right now on resortime.com for about the same price Worldmark quoted you.

That's after you go through the tour and say no. Before gifting you will go through an "exit interview" and be offered what they call "discovery" which allows you to sample the timeshare. Cost around $1K if I remember correctly.
