  • Worldmark Red Season 7 Night Requirement

If you are planning a Red season vacation, you must book a minimum of seven nights. I know that you can split the time between two or more resorts, as long as it is for seven consecutive nights.

Question: If I split between two resorts, one that I want for 4 days, and a second just to fill the requirement for 3 nights. They list them with seperate reservation numbers. What would happen it sometime prior to the vacation, I cancel the 3 nights that I did not want? Would they do that? Would they cancel both resorts?

    Second Question:

To make the seven nights, can I book two rooms in the same resort for the same days? That is can I book two rooms for 4 nights and have more than seven nights?

    Thanks, David

    David,

First Question answer: What you have described is known as a Grouped Reservation. If you cancel any part of it, the whole reservation is cancelled. You cannot rebook for 48 hours.

    Second Question answer:

No. The rules require 7 consecutive days in Red Season.

There is an exception to the 7 consecutive days in Red Season: "In the event that seven-consecutive nights are not availabe in the unit size requested, a reservation may be made for all the remaining nights in the respective unit size more than 90 days in advance of the use date, provided that all the available nights are booked." p. 22 WM Owners Education book.

In other words, there have to be no units available on either end of the less than 7 consecutive days.
