  • Getting your room of choice??

I was just wondering what the trick is to getting your room of choice. Do I have to book it 12 months out in order to get what I want? For example. I own at Bonnet Creek. If I want a room with a view of the fireworks is it pretty much if I don't book 12 months out then I don't get it? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Not that hard!
BC is pretty easy to deal with. Call the RESORT 1-2 weeks before your arrival date and request view. I have never been let down, and we stay at least once a month.

Keep in mind, a fireworks view by night, is usually a parking lot/garage view during the day. If you plan to be away during the daylight hours, no problem!

We stayed in Tower 2, floor 7 last week, and had a lake view AND fireworks view.

In theory, only gold+ VIP can request a room. Being big resort, sometimes, the front desk may willing to accommodate your request.

I do have VIP gold. Hopefully I will get a nice room next time. I did not get it when I went in December.

We have always been able to pretty well get what we wanted at check-in. I always call the resort a few days prior to arrival to confirm and ask about unit location. They usually say that I have to do that at check-in. The secret is to arrive at check-in early before the rush.

At the Wyndham Grand Desert in Las Vegas, at check-in, we requested a 2 BR unit in the new tower with a view. They moved some people around and we got just what we wanted. The resort was full.

To "arrive at check-in before the rush", would you try 4 hours ahead of time (i.e. if check-in time is 4PM, try arriving at noon)? Or would 2-3 hours generally suffice? I'm heading to one on Friday and REALLY wanting a renovated room.

I think 4 hours is probably too early. You should be fine with 2 - 3 hours.
