My husband and I have a time share with Wyndham that we have never used. After doing some research, I have learned that selling it would not be wise at this time b/c we still owe on it. So, we have points that we have not used and will not be using that I would like to rent out. I have no idea how renting points works and I am continuing to do research online to learn more about it. Anyone interested in our points and/or have advice for me regarding renting them?

The best use of your points is to learn how to use them, rental or otherwise.
I can recommend this site for that:
Welcome to the Wyndham Owners Forums (Wyndham Owners) and the forums there.
Renting Wyndham now works that you have to make a reservation at a desirable place and time and market/advertise that yourself. That can be difficult.
If however you reserve a time and place that you would want to go to and the rental doesn't work out then that can be OK.
If you are a member of TUG there is some good advice there also.Mark B.

either goto forums.atozed.com and post that you have points and willing to make reservation there, or read though the I want your point in rental session and see if you want to work with others that way. When you do it yourself try make reservation on time most people are off, and have lead time like 6 month or more. Don't know how many point you have, but if you have gold+ VIP, try to deposit all your this year's point to credit pool and concentrate on next year. Try to make reservation on place and time you can go, so the worse case is you take a forced vacation.
It is not a good time to be in renting business. But again, nothing beat now. Good luck.
