  • Wyndham CEO gets into an "altercation" with an NBA ref at the Magic game..

Official throws ball at Orlando Magic fan – Orlando Magic BasketBlog – Orlando Sentinel

Franz Hanning was relocated after a ref threw a ball at him during halftime.. He's been getting some heat for this from the press, but I personally think the ref was the one in the wrong in this instance.. Of course, I'm a Magic fan so that may color my judgment..

It didn't look like a hard throw but I don't understand why he did it at all. It does appear that the fan was a little out of control as well. People can't seem to control themselves these days.

Wow, did not realize it is him. Guess it is not a good PR for both sides.

We thought of him immediately, resemblance and all, but the first day they were spelling the last name Henning, so I thought we were crazy...

I coached basketball for 37 years. I never understood why people think buying a ticket gives them the right to go to someone's job and yell some of the most horrible things at them. The ref tossed the ball and it was tossed right back. Mistake by the ref yes, being a jerk ny the CEO, most definately. I would like to see how he would react if someone came to his job and started in on him. Maybe next time Wyndham messes up my reservation I will try it. NOT!

Guess the next time I need some attention to a Wyndham matter from the CEO, I'll know where to find him.

            What a total jack@$$...

Our culture does seem to be regressing!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with showing passion and emotion at a sporting event, but far too often now it goes far beyond that- both from the fans and the participants! The closer you are to the action the worse it gets!

I took my teen to a game last year and we sat a few rows from the bench, and will NEVER do that again! The language down near the floor was very unexpected- from the fans, players, coaches, and referees!

This year we went to only a few games, but I got seats at either the top of the lower bowl, or bottom of the upper bowl.
