  • would you ?

I am looking at a wyndham property up for resale. It has 154k points a year, with some of the lowest mf I have seen. The downside is that it is somewhere I would probably never want to visit. As a resale I have no vip status. I guess that means any plans I would make are a max of 10 months out? I would by buying it for the points.Would you?

Make sure you read as much info about WYN points as you can before you purchase.

For example, if you like their concept because you can do a few days at a time vs. full week, be aware there are further costs involved. You get 1 transaction (making/cancelling/ changing reservation) per 77,000 annual points owned. After that, I think the current charge is $25 per. Also, housekeeping points; whether you stay 1 night or 7, HK points are exactly the same. You would end up "buying/renting" more from WYN to make your reservation. I think current HK points cost $2+.

Have had many, many wonderful vacations!! Love our WYN ownership, but there are flaws...

Thank you for the good advise. I have been learning as much as I can. There is really no hurry in buying in. If I don't buy this time I'm sure another will come along. It looks like it will be a buyers market for some time to come.
