Hopefully they had adaquate flood insurance and a good cash reserve. $10,000,000 would work out to be $778 per unit week owned based on the # of units and assuming 41 weeks were sold for each unit (allowing for one week downtime/year for routine maintenance).

I think the requirement in TN is a mandatory equilavence of two maintenance weeks per year for each villa.
