  • Yay!! I now own Wyndham !!

Finally, it's all done. I have my 210K eoy points and I'm ready to play. I want to thank everyone here who helped me, esp Pat G & Marg. I had a good experience talking to one of Wyndhams guides today. Now it's time to learn & play!!

It seems forever, but I took up Richard Rentrops offer of a free ts points & he graciously kept paying the monthly mf's until the deal went thru. It took about 6 mos. As a seller, I'd be pissed, as a buyer I was calling the transfer company & Wyndham to try to get it done as quickly as possible. When he said free, he meant it!! What an honarable man he is !! I wish I had some extra money , but I had some health issues and just got out of the hospital ( I'm fine ) Too orinery to be down for long. I hope he loves his new ts he bought.

I'm sure I'll need lots of help and it's nice to know my friends here will be around to help me. What a good group. shaggy

Congratulations ,Shaggy. The main thing is that you are happy and can do more traveling. I hope that the seller is happy too now he is free of these points. He sure deserves it as he kept his promise to you.

Glad for you. Welcome to Wyndham ownership. The size look decent enough for the year it gives out.

I'm surprised to read this. I thought you were going to be timeshare free?

              VIP status

Are points brought off resale timeshare market tranferable the same as if you brought from presentation sales at resort, I was told that vip status gives you 15% discount off points you use when book. that wyndham system is like a hotel. also what are fees associated with this program. I was offer haha $32000 to buy 259000 points.
What is real story to the Wyndham points system

VIP is not transfer. In order to get it,the point has to be bought from developer. Also, a Plus Partnership program is not transferable, but this program can be added in if you really want it.

Both are not really cost effective. You should delay your developer purchase desire until you understand the program and know how your travel patten.

If you want another Wyndham Resort I have a gold crown in Orlando that I am willing to part with. It is the Orlando International resort and it trades well as long as you deposit it more than 6 months out.

                      Hi Shaggy,
Wayne and I checked into the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort yesterday, staying for two weeks. It seems like a very efficiently-run place and of course it is beautiful just because it is in Hawaii. Congrats on your acquisition, and you stay healthy girl!

Pat, wasn't planning on getting out completely, just get down to one & use extra vacations & the getaways. I'm turning in my Highlands of Sugar, can't seem to give it away. Put it in freebies, no takers, may put it in a add?

I may give MROP one more year, it was a tiger this year!! That's how I got Sanibel.

Ann, I am feeling stronger every day. I'm to mean to get down for too long. I have changed the way I vacation, I don't pack in as much as I used to, altho I admit I still do too much, at least I know now when to slow down. I can't hike, or go down in caves any more, but I can still have a great time, seeing new things , camera in hand, or sitting in the sand, working on my tan!! Hey, that rhymes shaggy

Guess I misunderstood. I thought you had already gotten rid of all your timeshares. I'll give you my 2 Bdr lockoff at Wyndham's Patriot's Place for free if you want it.
