  • Wyndham resale disadvantages?

I know the upside: Much lower outlay of cashola.

    What is the downside?

Are you limited to the types of units you can book? Are you restricted to the weeks you can use your points?

    Thanks (in advance).

There are some restrictions on VIP privileges. But it is generally accepted that the value of the benefits pales in comparison to the 90% savings from a resale transaction.. You can currently find resale contracts available at a penny a point and lower.. Developer pricing is often around 15 cents per point. Mid-week maid service and early check-ins are not worth the extra $30,000 some people pay.

You can find plenty of information on the Wyndham threads that will detail what benefits don't transfer.

      No, and no.

You are limited to 1 free GC (guest certification). Some benefits associate with VIP which can be taken out, and some has been taken out. Most of the time, if you make reservation before 2 month, it would not matter.

I apologize, but I do not understand what you mean. Could you clarify?

You are not restrict to the types of units you can book as long as you can get enough points to book it. You are not restricted to the weeks you can use your points. As long as the week start opens to anyone. There are some type of units the owners (resale or retail) of that unit enjoy some reservation priority, but it is based on what you own, not how you own it.

The resale point will not qualify you on VIP class. There are several benefits in the VIP class, but some people will not need that because the way they travel or use their ownership. And if you generally make plan on your trip 2 month before the trip days, and not change mind frequently, you will not need them. Even for people that use it, they will generally agree that these are nice features and enable them more flexibility, but it usually not worth the loss of the cash value.
