First let me confess: I put off paying my MFs this year. Bad, bad! It was easy to do because I didn't plan any vacations to use my points.

Yesterday (11/29) I called to make the payment in full on my credit card. I assumed it might take a day to process but that I would be able to access my account sometime today. I tried making a reservation online just to check and it gave me the "call financial services" warning.

So I did call financial services and they told me it hadn't processed yet but should do so by the end of business today.

Later I tried calling the reservation line and after being on hold for 45 minutes (I did get through!) they told me my account was flagged and they couldn't do anything until financial services took off the flag. So they transferred me back to financial services.

Now financial services has a recording that they are closed for the holidays and to call back on the first business day after the holiday!

I really hate to see those points go down the drain. I was going to deposit them into rci and pool my 2011 and 2012 points.

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything I can do? Anyone I can talk to? I know I procrastinated on making the payment but I did make it and I don't think it is fair it is taking so long to "process"!

At this moment, I don't know what can be done. Most US corp are off tomorrow.

Maybe you can try to talk to the financial people 1st thing on Monday to get all resolved, and hopefully, they will allow you to pool all the 2011 and 2012 points together. Not sure if they can do anything to 2010 points.

Some of the process may take upto 3 business day to go through.

    Good luck.

      Made it!

For all my worrying yesterday, it all worked out. I got online this morning and discovered that my 2010 MF payment had gone through overnight.

So I starting calling Wyndham reservations, knowing that they are open today, unlike finanacial services. I had to call back about 10 times before I got through to be put on hold. After being on hold for about 45 minutes, I was able to speak with Natalie, who was very helpful. I was able to deposit my 2010 points with RCI and pool my 2011 points (which is what I really wanted to do).

To me, it was worth the wait.

      Happy New Year!

        Good luck with RCI

hope you're not planning on staying on the Eastern seaboard with RCI this summer unless it's Atlantic city.

I've never made an RCI exchange with a Wyndham deposit, but I don't expect to pull much with it. It was a 70k red studio deposit. I know others used to pull great trades with a 28k deposit but I hear those days are over.

I've never been to the Eastern seaboard. If anything I will probably be looking for something in the midwest or Florida. Like I said, my expections are low.

Well good luck. Called a month ago and was told there was no availability anywhere along the eastern seaboard north of myrtle bch s c. Orlando has reservations though. In myrtle bch Towers on the grove was opened to Wyn owners in October. Its very nice, plush. Points? Least required is 70k. 70k is what I let go in September. I banked 105k with RCI and wanted to stay in Delaware or Maryland. Not possible. Was trying to go there for 3 years. Had them put me on a reservation wait list 2 years ago. Never heard a thing.

I don't think I saw anything close to beach get deposit from July to Aug in that area until maybe last 14 days. In fact, I seldomly see anything in June also. At that moment (14 days), usually the on-going search is no longer apply.

You may get something 10 min drives to the beach in there.
