if you have the <60 day discount it is almost impossible to find anything
The GC fee is annoying. For reunion-like things, you can get around a little bit of it by having more than one owner on your deeds---each owner can be booked into a different unit, and you get one more.
All in all, for personal use, I'm pretty happy with Wyndham. They have a nice portfolio of resorts, availability is pretty good if you plan a little in advance, and if you are patient about which deed you buy, you can keep your fees reasonably low. Even paying the infrequent nuisance fee, I don't feel like I get bad value out of it. I still don't think I'd pay to convert a week given resale values though.

This isssssss ridiculous.
When I reserved 2 studios going with Mom, they wanted a guest fee but luckily I put her on the deed and didn't remember it, but the vacation guide noticed it in our account since I did it over the phone, so was able to save the fee, but this is truly an abuse of owners.

I think new RCI conversion probably will kill a great % of the small ownership and now will force a lot of people even with bigger point size to credit pool every year first, since if there is anything left, it may take more planning to deposit them to RCI. Make bigger renters much more possible.
Will be very interesting to see the point size they give to the resort.

Very cool!
As a Wyndham owner, and Vermont native, this allows us to go to VT and use our Wyndham points instead of doing a transfer through RCI. We've stayed their off season, as well as put my family there off season using RCI. But it's now expensive with the $199 RCI transfer fee... So should be a good deal!
