  • Need to sell Myrtle Beach Ocen Blvd 231K points

I'm splitting with my wife and need to get rid of the Timeshare. I have 231K points deeded at Wyndham Myrtle Beach Ocean Blvd. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Welcome.

The good news is if the property was paid off, there will be someone willing to take it.

The bad news is if there is still mortgage there, it is very hard to find people purchase it.

Wyndham's resale get killed, if you want to get rid of it at all cost, you can go to eBay and search the Wyndham Timeshare, you can look at the complete list to get a feeling how much it actual get.

If you can take time, you can try to ad it yourselves, and expect something like 2 years to get rid of it unless you ask very little.

A side warning, if anyone send you an post card or eMail claim they can take it from you, usually they are asking you to pay them upfront, and it usually in big money (like over $500 to $3,000), if they claim they can get you a contract that even close to 1/2 of what you paid for the developer purchase, it is scam, just shut them down.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, it's not paid off. What will Wyndham do if I just stop paying? If I can't pay it, I can't pay it.

You will need to talk to your local lawyer to see what they can do. At min, they will take down your credit score. But at this moment, it probably not the worse you care. Depend on the state, each may allow them do different damage to you.

They will for sure take the deed back.

You can call Wyndham (Financial Services) and ask if they will take "deed in lieu of foreclosure". Someone reported on this or another site that this worked for them, I know at least one other where this did not work.

          Good luck!

That's good to know. Maybe I'll give that a try.
