I am a resale Wyndham owner...too bad for me, right

I have no idea, what you guys are talking about, when it comes
to TP...and search RCI.

I can't do anythig, nor I see my 2 weeks point deposited in December.

Am I too stupid, doing something wrong, os simply, due to the fact
that it is Wyndham, resale ownership, I am NOT INTITELED...to RCI
search with deposit?

I am also a Wyndham resale owner, but I am brand new and dont have any experience to help you. I am posting here to let you know that there is another Wyndham owners forum where there has been a spirited discussion of the recent changes vis a vis Wyndhan and RCI. What I took away from my reading there is that RCI trading is not as advantageous now as it once was and that you still cant do or see everything on line....you will probably have to use the phone.

This has nothing to do with being a resale owner. Deposits made in RCI before the change on Jan 11th are "generic" meaning that they are not searchable online with RCI. You must call RCI and have a VC (vaction counselor) search availability for you.

What size are your deposits? On Nov 15th RCI made a change that now reveals the trade power needed for each exchange. Other Wyndham owners have posted what their "generics" have been given for trade power or their TPU (trade power units). For example, I have a 105K generic and it has a TPU of 16.

If I know of an area and date range I want a week for, I have a couple of options - I can call a VC at RCI and have them search or I can ask the wonderful people here for a sighting request on the exchange forum. That will show the TPU needed for the weeks available and if there is something I can get, I can then call RCI.

If I don't have any ideas, I just watch the sightings posted here and on TUG for something that strikes my fancy that I have enough TPU for. More than likely its going to be something off season or in the last minute category.
