  • Wyndham Presidential unit

I am a Wyndham resale point owner.
Ironicly, took several timeshare presentations, but never with Wyndham....
So I do not know much about my TS resort chain,
currently looking for a place to stay in Wisconsin Dells for 3 days...
    before checking in Wyndham.
On E-bay and Craigslist I am seing several rentals availeable for the time
    I am interested
Many of them are PRESIDENTIAL units...
So what a heck is that?
    Just for laughs....
Can I get it trough Wyndham with resale points?
    Thank you,

The Presidential units are simply a few units at a given resort that have some upgrades in furnishings and appliances. Usually the unit size and layout is the same as the non-Presidential designated units. They may have some that offer more bedrooms (3 or 4) than standard but you'll pay for it in extra points required. It is not a big deal but if you can get it cheaply it's a nice, small upgrade for the unit features quality. Especially at the newer resorts the differences are minor.

Presidential units are usually a bit larger with much nicer furnishings and appliances.
There are a limited number at resorts that have them. Some are difficult to get, as you need the 13 month advantage of ARP. Sometimes you can pick them up last minute because of someone else's cancellation. The above pertains to getting them through your WYN points.

The rentals are often by Platinum owners that were able to get them within their 50% discounted time, or upgrades.

Your best route to getting ANY rooms at Wyndham Glacier Canyon in prime summer and holiday seasons will be via places like Craigslist. Owners there book the units as early as they can (13 months out) and turn around and offer them for sale. I've looked for holidays and summer dates at the 10 month mark when I'm able to book, and lost out every time. Reservations there include waterpark passes for up to the maximum occupancy of the unit, so they're a good deal and a very nice resort.

I booked a Presidential Unit at Bonnet Creek once and it was hard for my wife to go back to standard. The room was larger and there were significant upgrades - i.e. refrigerator with icemaker/water versus going to the machine to get ice and buying your own water. The check-in desk is in the tower itself versus the main check-in. I can go on.

They are a little bit more expensive. However, since I live in florida I can always catch the discounts with the 60 day period (up to 35% I believe)

            I can relate.
The Presidential units (at least at BC) have many upgrades over regular rooms like BOSE stereo surround, a big terrace, higher up in the building, a concierge computer in the kitchen, higher ceilings but they are also more square footage, a Cisco router in the room so the internet was lightning fast and they even let us check in early (at noon). I'm sure there are other perks but I haven't stayed long enough to discover them. I'll be going back.

              Thank you,
The weeks for Rent, are from other Wyndham owners that have book there weeks 13 months in advance just to rent them! There might only be a small amount of presidential openings for you if any!
If you are not going to use your points, nine months ahead you can call your representative (if you have some retail points) they will rent out weeks for your points and give you 60% of the profit!
It helps pay those maintenance fees!

Wyndham is they're own mega renter!
