Trying to convert to points but wyndham...

Hi All,
My wife and I own a small EOY studio unit at the Wyndham Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach, FL during prime season. We bought it for nothing a few years ago because we had friends in the area we liked to visit every so often. Our friends have since moved and we would like to turn the week into points. I went to Wyndham's sales presentation and they said the week isn't worth enough points to convert and I'd need to buy more points from them(for about 20K which I didn't do). Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know what the minimum point requirement is?

I'd call the corporate Direct line (800-786-6764) and talk to them...they won't make you purchase more points...and it will be ALOT cheaper then $20,000(i was quoted $2,395)'

Corporate Direct has even made paying for the upgrade much easier. With a down payment of $895 and 3 quarterly payments of $500, you can have the total $2,395 paid off, interest free!

I would suggest selling it or - if necessary - giving it away...then purchasing points on ebay for next to nothing.
