Edisto beach feedback

Looking at a weekend at Edisto Beach next summer. My wife just wants time near the water. Is this place really near the water, on the water? Pictures look great, trip advisor is harsh. We are looking at three days in Charleston and three in Edisto.

Wyndham is not on the beach but they have a shuttle on the beach. Been to Edisto many times, many people who want a Myrtle Beach, Virgina Beach, or Ocean City type place will be disappointed, it is more quiet and serene

When I looked at the "map resort" of Edisto Beach I thought the map was of the resort! When I google mapped it, I realize that the map on the webpage is the whole island. I am not sure this is going to work.

You saved me on that one, my wife would have been less than happy with me.

Back to the drawing board.
