We are on the Big island until Jan. 27th. The first 2 weeks we are staying at Wyndham Mauna Loa Village. Next week we will be at the Royal Sea Cliff Resort.
We went to a Wyndham a sales presentation to get The Aloha Privileges Card. We told the person signings us up that we had too many timeshare weeks and would not buy. He said that is OK they just want to have us see how the Wyndham Club works.
After an hour of the presentation we said that was all the time we signed up for and she needed to finish her presentation.
Because we want to get out as soon as possible I didn't ask a lot of questions and she finally gave us the bottom line cost of $11,000. She could not understand how we could past on such a good deal. She wasn't happy with us.
We own 11 even year weeks and 13 odd year weeks. These are all weeks, some float and some fixed and none at Wyndham.
The one thing I don't understand is the sales lady said there is no Maintenance Fees. Could someone explain this and how the Wyndham Club works. The sales lady really did not do a very good job in the presentation. Perhaps this was because she thought she had us of at least 90 minutes. But when we signed up they gave us a slip that stated we were only signing up for 60 minute presentation.
I would not buy into the Club for any amount much less $11,000. But I would like to know how the Club works without any Maintenance Fees.
Also what I found interesting was she was saying how much better Wyndham was than RCI because of all the extra charges that RCI is using for exchanging. Strange statement since RCI and Wyndham are part of the same company.
Thank for the input.
Walt
