For anybody seriously thinking of this, note a key sentence from the person who is touting this "great" plan:
When I file taxes I plan on including that and hopeing I will get back 5000 or more because it was appraised and that will cover the 2800.00 total I had to spent to donate it.
So basically, that person is committing tax fraud (an inflated appraisal to write off a loss on their taxes). Plus, I think you can't even write off a legitimate loss of a timeshare in most cases, correct?

    Just sayin'...

Correct on the loss statement. Writing off $ 5k or more for a timeshare donation will probably trigger an audit.
