  • Looking to buy Wyndham timeshare

I have been looking at timeshare on ebay alot the past couple of days and most of the timeshares are really cheap. Im still kind of new to timeshare so I figured I would create a forum and get some help.

I live in the state of GA and the main places I would visit would probably be Bonnet creek in Orlando and other places in FL. What I want to know is does it really matter what home resort you have to stay at any Wyndham resort?

Another thing as long as your deed is the point system then you can stay at any resort correct?

Before i get into buying I want to try and make sure im clear on all the full details. This is one of the timeshares I was looking at on Ebay the seller looks legit based on their feedback. 308K Wyndham CLUB ACCESS POINTS Beach PREMIER Worldwide Locations TIMESHARE | eBay

Thanks for the help and if I have any other questions I will post them up for sure!

On the East Coast Wyndham is a great choice

If you buy Wyndham Points that can be used at any of their resorts. And that seller is part of CJ's ( Vinnic) and has been around for years and does a good job.

I'm not a Wyndham points owner, but concur that the seller is legit based on personal experience.

Thanks for the input Greg. Another thing how hard is it to rool over point to RCI if you dont use all of them?

That is a very poor use of points anymore

I don't do Wyndham anymore, but from what I have read, the value is in using their resorts. The RCI thing changed around a year ago, making trades with them almost valueless. Ask a question in the points/wyndham forum for more answers,

It is not hard to roll the point to RCI, but it is very expensive to do that, in most of the exchanges you can get, you will end up lossing money because the MF is high.

If you buy from eBay, they maybe able to make some reservation for you during the transfer process. But each reservation will need some Guest certification during the transfer since you are not owner in that period, and it becomes expensive for any short term stay.

Hi, I'm a Wyndham owner, and I love my Time share It has taken me to places and let me stay in condos I could never of afforded, only mistake was I bought retail but still no regrets. As to owning at the resort you want to go to the only advandage is you get to request that resort before anyone who does not own there.Does not mean you will get what you want so you should be a little flexable. Example last year I wanted to go to Diney(my first time and I'm 50+ I also wanted to stay at Bonnet Creek no availability so I stayed at Cypress Palms just down the road still got to Disney. Just rember maintance fees are still continued even if you don't always get what you want. Good luck

Have you realized you can rent instead of own, for cheaper?

Well, with very few exceptions anyway. I have to cringe everytime I hear that someone is looking to purchase one of these things.

Hey Ace, You are right about renting I have rented mine the last two years to friends for Disney trips to California. I still like mine but as i stated maintance fees go on for ever or untill you try to get rid of it, Its not an Investment only in your vacation time. Another reason if your going to buy get a place that people might be willing to take off your hands for little or no monies. Mine is in Hawaii so I hope when I'm ready someone will want it. Still renting may be the way to go first.
