  • Wyndhams "presentation"

We went for the first time to our Wyndham timeshare that we bought resale last week. We were automatically signed up for the "owner update" breakfast which we no showed. They called every day to see if we were available so finally our last day we said fine we would go... free breakfast and $100 gift card. We sat with the salesman and the minute he found out we bought resale he treated us like scum! Gave us dirty looks and telling us there was nothing to go over because we were really not owners and that the maintenance fees are going to skyrocket for us because we aren't gold members. So I politely ask how much it would cost if we wanted to be a "real" member... ohhhh about $250 grand is all!! But we are the idiots! We were having a great time up until then but we got our $100 and only spent about 15 mins with the jerk so i guess thats ok.

Yes, we just went to a Diamond presentation that they strong-armed us into attending. It wasn't terrible, but as soon as the sales guy learned that we bought our timeshares resale, he knew it was over and got a little snippy. We had to stay a full 120 minutes, though, so at least yours was over quickly!

You would think, if they can get this information that they would have it before hand and not bother with the sales updates. I mean, how frequently does somebody who bought resale, then go out and pay three times the price to buy from the developer?

I agree! At one point our salesman said to us, accusingly, "Why did you agree to come on this presentation?" I wanted to say, "I tried to avoid it!"
