The first building at Wyndham Grand Desert opened in 2001


We stayed at the Fairfield Grand Desert
now Wyndham Grand Desert Las Vegas

During Grand Opening week in June 2001

The first building is L Shaped and is 12 stories tall.
10 Penthouse Suites are located on the 12th floor

One Penthouse Suite # 421 is located on the 4th floor.
3 bedroom unit with balcony overlooking the pool area.

The unit we stayed in was on the 9th floor.
Two Bedroom Deluxe (915) with 2 full baths

Full kitchen with a breakfast bar,
GE Appliances - Refrigerator/Ice Maker,
Range, Microwave, Dishwasher, Disposal,
and Lots of Small Appliances
Dinnerware and Glasses for (8) eight
Dining area with table and booth
along the wall plus 5 kitchen chairs
Hunter Ceiling Fans in each room.

3 Televisions, VCR and Stereo
(The Living Room TV was 25 inches with built in VCR
and the bedroom TVs were smaller, maybe 19" or 20")
Anyone know what type TV`s are in the units now?

Jacuzzi Tub and Tile Shower in Master Bath
Stackable Washer and Dryer

NOTE:

All the units in the original building that end with
an odd number face the pool & towards the strip.

The even number units face the back
with some facing the airport
There are four elevators off the lobby

From the GD building to the corner of
Harmon and the strip is..... 8/10 mile.

Its hard to believe that it has been
so long since we have been to Vegas!
