    Duh,
Why didn't they do this years ago when they switched over.
Obviously RCI wasn't getting Wyn owners to deposit since they were penalizing us resale owners.
Not that I'm running out to exchange my Wyn in RCI but it's seriously about time.

Your RCI exchanges just got easier!
Using your Worldwide External Exchange benefit with RCI is a great way to experience destinations outside the CLUB WYNDHAM® Plus Resort Collection, as well as extend the use of your points for future travel. Now your RCI exchanges are even easier with a change to the minimum point’s deposit requirement. As of December 3, 2013 the required minimum point deposit has been decreased from 27,000 to 10,000 points. Whether you need those last little bit of points to complete a reservation or want to make sure you keep all your unused points for future travel, the new minimum points deposit amount offers more freedom for you to get going with RCI Exchange deposits.

Additionally, starting December 10, 2013 you have even more flexibility with the introduction of RCI “Search and Hold”, through your RCI service line. This new feature gives you the opportunity to find suitable availability, and then place your unit(s) on hold for up to 72 hours while you complete your RCI Exchange deposit online or by calling your Vacation Planning Center.

It’s so easy to use – just search for your desired unit(s) by calling your RCI service line at 1-800-572-0931. The RCI Guide will assist you with searching availability, holding the unit and instructing you on how to confirm the unit(s) once your points deposit has been completed.

Please visit the Worldwide External Exchange in the Online Learning Center to learn more about using your Worldwide External Exchange benefits.

I haven't heard that yet but wouldn't be surprised.
Seems Wyndham wants to rule the TS world.

          Unfortunately no.
This was for Wyndham owners only.
You can still put a unit on hold for 24 hours but most resorts don't get those deposits confirmed in 24 hours.
I know my non Wyndham resort takes a few days to show up in RCI. Sometimes a week.

I was able to take advantage of this new 10K deposit bringing my Wyn points in RCI up to something that is useful.
