  • FF Advance Reservation Priority (ARP)

To make an ARP reservation you must be be an owner at that particular resort. Do all of the points have to come from that resort total?

    Example:
You need 154,000 for a 2-Bedroom. You have a deed for 126,000 at that resort and a deed for another 105,000 at a different resort. Will they allow you to make an ARP using the 126K plus 28K from another deed or do you have to wait to 10 months out and make a standard reservation?

    Thanks,
    David

It's my understanding that you would only be able to use the ARP for what ever you could get for the 126K you have at that resort. I am sure if that is incorrect someone will let us know.

      David:

Dale is right, and you can not borrow point for ARP purpose in theory. However, sometimes, they have those contracts that allow you to ARP on several resort together, I am not sure how the point was treated that way.

From what I understand you can only use points for ARP that are home based at the resort you want to ARP to.
There may be some contracts that allow ARP to multiple resorts as a group as Jya-Ning said but I don't know anyone that has one of these and have never ran across them.

Thanks for the info. I did not think that I could use them, but thought I would ask. Thanks, David

Does this mean that the OP is upgrading from a 1 br to a 2 br so that's why he needs more points or did the value of his week diminish over time so now he needs more points? I hope that isn't so as how could FF do that?

UDI Points or Converted fixed week points

If your 126K points come from a fixed week converted to points, the original fixed week is the ONLY week and unit you may reserve during the 13-10 month ARP period. With UDI points, you may reserve anything available at your home resort at 13 months IF you own enough UDI points at that resort to make the reservation.

Sometimes if Fairfield was selling a new resort from an older sold-out resort, the deeds give ARP privileges (13 month) at the new resort and reciprocal ARP (11 month) at the older resort. If you own at both at the new and the old, you might be able to make a reservation using points from both at 11 months; I am not sure.

I have also been told that if you own UDI points at both Peregrine and Teal Landing at Pagosa, the points could be combined for an ARP. This feature may apply to other Fairfield locations where there are two or more Fairfield UDI points resorts in the same area (Myrtle Beach, perhaps?).

For an official answer, ask the Fairfield Internet team.

A likely scenario for wanting to reserve using 154K instead of 126K would be making a reservation during prime season rather than another time of year.

No the value of the points did not diminish. I have points at three different resorts and am running different scenarios though my mind. We are just looking at our options for more bedrooms with more family members traveling with us at times.
