I didn't express myself well about the cost of RCI not being paid in full--probably because my grasp on all this is still somewhat sketchy lol. Let me try it this way:

If you own a fixed FF week, you pay a maintenance fee. That's it.

If you own FF points, you pay that same maintenance fee plus a Fairshare Program fee. That is why points weeks always have a higher maintenance fee than fixed weeks--for a points week, both fees are usually just lumped together and called the maintenance fee.

Your RCI membership is paid for through this FSP fee. FF weeks owners don't pay FSP and don't get "Free" RCI.

The FSP fee is about $.60 per thousand I think. I believe that the current minimum FSP fee is $93. So, if you own for example 100k points, then your FSP fee would be 100K x .6 for a total of $60.00 But since that is below the $93 current minimum, an additional $33 would be added to the maintenance fee--that is the extra cost I was referring to in my earlier post. I defer in advance to any more knowledgeable members if I am reporting this incorrectly. Also, the FSP fee drops to a lower per-thousand level when you own more points.

M&M--sightings are great exchanges that other forum members have spotted and generously report here. You can find these gems under the "Exchange Opportunities" tab here at TS4M, or on the Sightings link on TUG if you are a TUG member. Once you see a sighting that interests you, you can log into your RCI account and see if your available deposits can pull the exchange. That's how I got our two upcoming Hawaii weeks.

As for what Debbie meant about the overnight RCI availability--if you search in the wee hours of the night (usually starting around 12:35 am for me here in the Eastern zone) you will often be surprised with a nice selection of exchanges that didn't show up even minutes earlier. That's how I got the Aruba week we enjoyed this past March.
