    What a joke........

    I have not been able to get past my account information page for weeks. The online reservations are a complete disaster and as far as I am concerned the online interactive directory is not very user friendly and leaves a lot to be desired.

    I wonder if their reservation system is kept on a legal pad that is passed around from VC to VC.

    The last three times I've tried to use it over the past two months at best I've frozen on a search and usually it tells me my username/password (stored on my PC) is wrong - although it worked the previous try. RCI/Wyndham IT is second only to AOL for new levels of incompetency in programming. Thank heavens I've used all my points through my next use year so I can wait them out (I hope).

      The error is so bad today that you get a page telling you there is an application error. You don't even get the accessing your accout page followed by the too much heavy traffic message.

      I never thought I would miss the heavy traffic message.

        For 3 months, I think I successfully get in 5 times over probably 50 tries.

        On the other hand, I believe at 2003, I still could not see their inventories on-line, so we just back 4 years.

          It is very aggravating! The really bad thing is that FF obviously does not care. They could have switched to a workable system long ago. There are certainly many to choose from. They just keep beating a dead horse.

            Yes, it has been bad since they made the last changes with the branding updates etc.
            I haven't been able to get in to the reservations section in several months. I have sent several comments to them via email and I keep getting back that they are working on it and fixing it is a high priority, except the last comment I sent 2 weeks ago I haven't heard anything back from them. Guess they are sick of hearing from me.
            I really don't understand these companies, web sites are common for even the smallest businesses now and most seem to keep them running and solve problems in a reasonable amount of time.

              After reading these posts, i did get right in to the reservation system.

              I do know someone at wyndham that has been responsive to my emails...

              I will send him a note tonight. Maybe he can forward it to someone that cares...!

              If i hear anything, I'll post.

                I did get a response this morning...

                I was thanked for the information and told he would pass this along to the proper people.

                Surely,this won't move mountains but someone in there may get the idea(or care) that there are a lot of people on this site complaining about the Wyndham website and reservation system.

                  Only if they think there's a chance to sell them some grossly overpriced developer points. It's a good thing the Fairshare system is so good that even these incompetents can't screw it up (yet).

                    Quite some time has passed since my orginal post. I have tried to access the reservation system several times daily without success. FF/Wyndham must be living in the dark ages when it comes to technical expertise on maintaining a functioning website.

                      Access has been better lately.

                      using the 3 backspace method and trying repeatedly for five minutes or so also usually works.

                      Also Tues=Thurs during working hours .

                      However their web prescence and implementation is a joke.

                      We should not have difficulty to use such a basic function.

                        Well that didn't work. Seven minutes and all I could get was

                          I just tried and got straight in.

                          What are you looking for.?

                          Do you want to start another thread and ask for searches. It does seem luck of the draw in getting in or not.

                            I called and got my reservation I was looking for at this time. I just like to search in my spare time for some place we might like to go and if it fits then I could reserve it.

                              I have been having the same problems for over 2months and have only been able to get in once or twice in that timeframe. Have wrtten emails to them several times and keep getting back the stock answer that they are working on it as fast as they can but have no info onwhen the site will be fixed!!!!
                              I have had very good luck with Fairfield in general but this I find very frustrating.
