Starting to see listings on E-bay stating the points last 2 or 3 years. Are these factual?

About Multi-Year Points

I've seen these too. Methinks that is a little deception going on. Yes, FF points can be used for 2 or 3 years if you deposit them into RCI/II or pool your points in the Credit Pool timely, respectively.
Perhaps, these were a "Discovery" program that expires in 2 years, but from their descriptions, it didn't seem to be.
Otherwise, I've never heard of any FF offering that had points good for 2 or 3 years before they expired.

I believe this is because they are selling bi and tri year. Actually, I don't see tri year contract and don't realize FF sell them.
Since one of them is GD, I will assume they actually use credit pool (extra 25 but good for 3 years), and I will assume good for 2 years means you put into RCI (extra exchange fee).
Actually, with EOY, if you travel within 90 days, you can borrow next year's points toward this year's usage.
Both are from the same seller. Don't know where the source of the point is (they paid for it, or the original owner paid them to get rid of it, I don't believe POA will use someone like this to get rid of their points). But if the 3 or 2 year usuage is what it is, it is just like saying you can use it to any where at any time. The issue is, when FF salesman makes that statement, it is not in writing, when you saw in eBay, it is in writing. And that is bordline of misleading. Not lawyer, but if there is an issue if someone bids on it buy it, use it and realize it is not as expected, what will happen.
