I would love to get a one-bedroom for 9/29, 9/30, 10/1 and maybe 10/2. I still don't have the ability to check myself. I wonder if this is even a possibility still? I can always use RCI points, which will get us a few days at VV at P.

The on-line is not working for me. But have your selling person call to make reservation. BC has enough inventory, so you may have good chance.

Just looked online and there are plenty of 1, 2 or even some 3 bedroom units available now. Week 39 is value season so a 1 bedroom would be 84,00 or 2 bedroom 112,00 points for a whole week.

That would be such a great value, using the points for a one bedroom at Bonnet Creek. I hope I can get a week or some days there.

That Platinum thing is sure tempting me again. Rick is not tempted at all, but he does not read this stuff all day long like I do.

Now if I could sell all of our timeshares and just get a couple of three bedrooms and buy that EOY Bali Hai to convert..........

Will they let me bring in the Kingsgate and Angel Fire purchases into the Platinum, too. We would be sitting pretty well:

One bedroom EOY was 119K, a two bedroom Bali Hai is 308K, the new purchase we would make at Bali Hai would be 308K EOY, plus 287,000 Kingsgate and 154,000 Angel Fire. That adds up to 1,022,000 points, plus those wonderful 3 bedroom weeks.

CC_dad, are you going to the sales presentation at Bali Hai next month? Be sure to see what kind of deal they are offering to people like us. If you get Carlos, tell him that we might reconsider, when we can get things set up the way we want. Jerry Clark was the closer guy. Both of them are stretchers of the truth, but at least I can get the truth elsewhere. They said the price was going to go up substantially. Too bad, if that is true. Shame on them if that was a scare tactic. The price for the Bali Hai two bedroom EOY, 308K was $18,100. Ask what it is now for us. Thanks!

How about a 2BR BC reservation via a discount and upgrade for only 42K points (1Br at the Platinum discount plus an upgrade and free GC)?

I'll be ducking the presentation at BHV unless they offer decent $$. My wife got Shell Vacation Resorts on Kona to cough up $200 cash plus box lunch for the family. We were out of there in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The saleperson begged the VP three times before they finally sent us on our way - didn't even get to view their units.

FF may allow you to bring in your resale weeks only if you buy at BHV, since they may really want your BHV fixed week conversions. Some have said this will not happen with resale contracts, but money talks and cow manure walks.

You may need to speak to someone in Corporate Direct Sales in FL to get this guaranteed in writing. If you do, you won't need any PICs at all to get to VIP Platinum. If they would offer 308K EOY for $18K and either allowed you two PICs or a BHV equity trade for your resale UDI contracts plus guaranteed VIP Platinum that's pretty fair deal.

That's why I'm suggesting you pull back on your resale purchases and try the system out first.

They were giving us Platinum with our resale weeks. That was a great offer. Are you sure you won't go for the $100 they are offering? That is all they give for the presentation.

We all went to the Smith's Luau for a huge discount and had a marvelous time. It was the best luau and food we have ever had on the islands, plus the grounds were beautiful and the show was great.

Was that timeshare presentation at Paniolo Greens? We just bought an annual week there for an amazing price. I shouldn't divulge. It would appear like bragging.

We stayed at Paniolo Greens once and loved the resort but thought the location was pretty remote. I was going to rent it out every year for a while.

It was for the Kona Coast Resorts I/II - south of FF's Kona Hawaiian Resort. SVC's presentation just fell into our lap - my wife played hard to get as the downtown Kona telemarketer kept rattling off the different "gifts." And the timing of that presentation was just right.

We'll think about the BHV sales presentation. I'm just in no mood for the hard sell when I know I don't want to buy.

We've done a luau on the Big Island, so I'm not sure if we'll opt for another ...
