FF Points Owner availability check request - Dolphin's Cove, CA
# of FF Points needed for Dolphin's Cove 2BR for an Oct 6/07 check in
Can anyone tell me how many points this would take? Since it's less than 45 days out, I believe it's lower than the standard # required? AND is there availability for a 2BR?
For non VIPs it's 154,000 points. Time there is only Prime and High.
For points discount standard VIPs get 25%, Gold 35% and Platinum 50% within 60 days of check in.
No availability there for your dates.
The Members Directory is available online to non members via a link at the TUG Wyndham forum
Thanks for the info. I couldn't remember the discount levels.
I'm somewhat surprised about the non-availability through points. I'm a fixed week owner there but have used up our week for this year. However, when I called the fixed week reservations side earlier today, they said there is a lot of 1BR availability and reasonable 2BR availability. Is it different inventory?
The Members Directory shows it as Limited # of Accommodations . Which according to the Directory, again, have 50 units or less available per week, on average to FF members.
The next class is Very Limited # of Accommodations, which is an average of 10 or less units.
So it would seem FF may have more that 10 units there per week but less than 50.
I'm not familiar with the resort, perhaps someone on the West Coast can answer better. But if the resort has availasbility it may be better to use them, especially if your friend is paying.
I believe this resort is split in at least three inventory pools; fixed and/or floating weeks, weeks that have been converted to FSP, and weeks that belong to the Worldmark system. I would expect all three of these pools to be completely separate.
I've spoken to a friend in Worldmark recently, and from what I can tell, FSP has more inventory than WM does, at least for the few summer weeks we compared notes for.
But if the resort has availasbility it may be better to use them, especially if your friend is paying.
While the resort has availability, I can't book it because we've used our week and bonus time is only for owner use. No guest. That's why I thought having a points owner book it may be an option. Based on what's been posted here on availability in FSP or even WM, there's no availability in that inventory.
