  • Which Fairfield Resorts are II? Any of them attractive as resales for FSP points?

I think most of the Fairfields are affiliated with RCI, but I thought there were a few that had II affiliations & one had both. Can someone tell me which ones are II affiliated & whether any of them are attractive for adding FSP points? I do know TPI is involved with some of the Hawaii properties.

    Thanks!

Your account once purchase will be set up. So if currently you are affliate with RCI, does not matter what else you purchased, if you bring into the same account, they can only goes to RCI.

You have to make sure you purchased II affliate FF resort with different name, and make sure when they send out the transfer ownership form, it will be a different account.

I know Star Island, Royal Vista, Governor Green are II resort. Mike has done a much more complete analysis of that part, and should be able to give you detail, if not, you can goto new forum site forums.atozed.com and search for that.

So it is best NOT to have an RCI account when u purchase (I have only deposited non FF weeks into this account ) - or can u request it go into your II account?

You can buy II only affliated contract and deeded with different name as your current RCI acount, then after the deed is recorded in local government, make sure you monitor the transfer process in FF side to have a new account set up.

One way is you set up a simple trust and have your kids as well as one of you as trustee, while your other account is own by you and your spouse. Make sure the first person is different.

If you do that, FF will set up II account and pay the membership using your MF FSP membership part.

          Jya-Ning,
Thanks for the info...I am actually at the point of canceling my RCI account so it shouldn't be a problem. I do NOT own any FF CI resorts - just looking for an II affiliate one.

So if it is an II affiliated resort - Star Island, Royal Vista, Governor Green - then it will AUTOMATICALLY be set up as an II account or do you STILL have to make sure they do it with II???

And I understand this will be a separate II account (from my current 'personal' one) paid for by part of the MFs or is it a charge on top of the MFs.

          Thanks, Pat

If your goal is II, then you still have to make sure. I do read in some rare cases they made mistake. But that is not normal.

I also read situation where they switch the affliation upon owner's request, but it is from II to RCI. I would not trust the reserve will happen consider FF and RCI is under the same company but II is not.

But what is the purpose of using FF in II? If you are eye in the flexchange period, maybe there is other company that better? Unless you look at the purchase price and it probably is one of the cheapest.

I prefer to have the ability to search online with II and the ease of the II website.....my REAL goal is to purchase some FSP to reserve at 10 months at Bluebeard's BeachClub in St Thomas - high season is 126,000 for a studio (I own a fixed week/unit there) and have enough points left over to do a 'generic' II deposit to use in flexchange.

Actually, where can I access to see the points required for an off season studio at BBBC?
When I did the Wyndham tour, there was a BIG book - unfortunately, we had a TERRIBLE salesperson so i didn't get any questions answered - I knew much more then the salesperson

                    Another question.....

Once I have an II Wyndham account - any subsequent FSP/Wyndham purchases will be added to the II FSP account?

I ask this because there are cheaper MFs in many FSP RCI affiliated resorts - which could help keep down my MF/FSP ratio .... is my assumption correct?

Yes. The first resort into your FSP account establishes the exchange company you will use. Since the points used to pay II or RCI for exchanges are FSP points, neither cares which resort they were originated from.
