  • Need Help from Wyndham owner

I need some help from a Wyndham owner.
I currently have no points in my account.
I want to check availability for 4 nights at Aviawest at The Rosewood
Victoria BC RCI Resort ID 6789 for any/all of following dates 7/2/08 - 7/6/08
thru Fairshare Plus RCI Nightly Stay program. I called Wyndham and they wouldnt
transfer me to RCI Nightly Stay desk because I have no points in my account.
If there is availablility of nights, I know someone I can purchase the points from. I would appreciate it if someone could call Wyndham and have them
connect you to RCI Nightly and see if there is any availability at this hotel.
I am looking for either hotel room, studio, or 1 bedroom.
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated
    Best wishes,
    Paul

Not exactly what you asked for, but I checked availability in RCI points since I believe that is where Wyndham RCI nightly stays inventory is drawn from.

    Returned no availability.

Did you borrow next year's points already? You can borrow a year ahead. Also, you can always rent more points directly from Fairfield, up to the number you currently own.

I believe he wants to first confirm there is availability before take any action of moving points. It is meaningless if your only remining travel plan is that resort and after you move the point to this use year, you can not get that resort.

I believe if RCI manage that resort, it has vey similar rules like FF, so the inventories should be open to everyone at 10 month. On the other hand, if the RCI does not manage the resort, it depends on when the resort willing to open the inventories to RCI's member.

Check the point disclaim to see how many units it actually assigned to RCI. Then make a pure guess to determine what it is. And if it is not managed by RCI, whether the resort already deposit the inventory or not.

One possible help is look at the inventories in that resort using RCI points to see what is the 1st week it can be seen, then assume that is the week RCI get open from resort, then you can guess your chances to see if you want to move any points.

Unfortunately, I am not point owner, thus that is my pure guess.

I can say with authority that I don't see that property often in RCI especially for summer from the weeks perspective.

That area is on the daily search route for me.

Thanks to those who took the time to search and/or respond. Neither World Mark nor RCI is showing is any inventory so I will have hunt down a hotel room.
            Best wishes,
            Paul

Sorry, I missed this. I'm not around TS4M's or TUG as much as I once was.

The RCI points searches search for 30 days after the date. There was no availability in RCI points previously or tonight when I searched using the 7/6 date.

I would think a rental would be the way to go now and you still could keep looking knowing the chances are slim.
