Rescinding from a Wyndham contract

My wife and I purshased a contract from Wyndham on March 28th. Having done research afterwards, we rescinded today (we have 7 days to do so). This website was very helpful. The nearly unanimous response to our questions was, "Rescind Immediately".

Has anyone been through the rescinding process with Wyndham? We have faxed our letter of recession to the Sedona sight we owned, and we mailed a letter to corporate headquarters in Nevada. We will be faxing Nevada the letter tomorrow. We have spoken over the phone with the necessary people in Sedona. We've been very satisfied with the service so far.

It would be great to hear about personal experiences regarding rescinding from Wyndham.

Faxing can mean nothing, you've seen the movies where the fax ends up under the cabinet. Mailing is the proper way and if you want to have proof you should have mailed it registered or certified/return receipt, if you didn't, I'd do it again now for peace of mind.

Be sure to read the contract and follow it exactly and do get a receipt either for registered mail or another mail service

Generally, the laws require Certified Mail. Registered Mail is for items that require insurance, such as mailing jewelry that you want to insure. It costs more, as it is handled differently by the Postal Service.
