Realistic Availability....at 90 days?

I have an exchange into Las Vegas for Thursday 12/31/09 - and wondered if it would be realistic to think I could reserve one night 12/30 at one of the Wyndham Las Vegas TS properties? I understand to reserve one night you must wait until 90 days before check-in?

My instinct says no, but I thought I would ask the experts.

If I do decide to go a day early, I could also reserve a room using Marriott Points that could be canceled up to day of check-in or possibly 7 days before.

Would there be any availability at the 60 or 30 or 14 day mark - or am I crazy to even think this would be available the day BEFORE New Years Eve.

Grand Desert currently has no availablity for a 3 night stay starting Dec 28. Harrah's has even less availability for late Dec. Desert Blue won't open unti 2010.

I would say that it is unlikely unless there's a cancellation.

A few Wyndham resorts, e.g. Nashville, permit 1 night stays booked well in advance.
