  • Got offer to stay/tour Wyndham -- is this very good?

I got an offer from Wyndham Vacation Resorts to spend 2 nights for $99. The accomodations would be 3 stars or higher, so it does not specifically state that the accomodations would be at Wyndham. I would get 1000 Wyndham Rewards Points for accepting the offer and 5000 Wyndham Rewards Points after taking a timeshare tour. I was trying to find out what 6000 Rewards points could be redeemed for, but couldn't find the information on the WyndhamByRequest web site.

Is this a very good offer? The fine prints says that the resorts that I can stay at depends on the state that I live in.

If just reward point, maybe not.
    Wyndham ByRequest.

Usually the stay will be on local hotel unless it is off season.

If it happens to be on a short drive within your trip, and you want to check if their sale force did work hard or not, than it is O.K. Or if you have nothing else to do and just want to spend maybe an moring or an afternoon, than it is O.K. or you do plan to purchase from them and want to spend the whole day, that is o.k.

Other than that, I don't believe so.

I had to log into Wyndham Rewards to see the point redemption information. I was previously logged into WyndhamByRequest which was a different web site. That's why I wasn't able to find the redemption information before. It looks like 6000 points is only good for 1 night at a Tier 1 hotel. The minimum points for the eligible Florida locations was 15000. For California, the range was 10,000 - 20,000 points for one night.

I agree that the offer isn't very good. I was thinking about taking a short trip to Orlando to see the theme parks decorated for the holidays. I could find a better deal on Priceline and not have to spend a few hours on a timeshare tour.

Thanks for your response and the link.
