Has anyone heard when the Pa. resort at Shawnee will open? It was supposed to be fall of 2008.

Shawnee is now taking reservations!! Although you can still trade a 28K/70K point week rather successfully in RCI for the older units. When booking within Wyndam you only get to book at the newer units they are building in the Ski in/out building with the projected waterpark.

Not that I am complaining about having access to the newer building but I was wondering the other day whether or not Wyndham had access to the older units in the interests of creating additional inventory at higher demand times. I am assuming that they don't?

Not an owner there, could be wrong. If my memory of some reading is right, they have issues with POA there, and not offer any conversion.

              Similar recollection.

Issues with the existing POA's that prohibited them marketing. Seemed an unusual situation, individual owners prevented from converting by an Association.

Didn't have much interest in looking further into it as Shawnee is an easy trade in the catagory of Orlando and Branson etc., plus Ilittle interest in the area.

Just an odd Wyndham fact remembered or remembered badly.
