I cancelled! YEAH! So now a few more q's??!!

Thanks to everyone who offered such great advice. My husband and I cancelled our contract this week and are now planning on buying about 200K points on ebay. Now, I have a few more questions for you experts!!

1. Does anyone know about the availability for RCI Caribbean destinations in December of this year?

2. How far ahead will I need to book a week in Europe approx.?

3. Does anyone have the weekly points required for the new Wyndham resort in Panama City Beach, Fla?

4. If we purchase a resale this year and don't use all the avail 2008 points, can we roll them over to next year, and how is this done on a resale purchase?

5. If you buy more than one resale on ebay, can you combine the points together? I know the MF's will be separate still.

6. Where do you find out about the last minute vacancies that are available?

If you join an exchange company, our Exchange Opportunities area would be worth a read. It is visible to members who have over a certain number of posts. I can't remember right now how many as it just changed recently. I should though.

We have some very hard working ExOps contributors who you will get to know very well.

If you use RCI, you need to request as far as possible. But there are places and time slot a lot of exchange possibilities. There are places and times you should forget about them since Wyndham points currently will have no chance to pull them (I am not sure if you put on-going search, what will happen though). Some small exchange company will not be able to get resort commit until maybe Sept to Nov at the end of year for next year.

4. If we purchase a resale this year and don't use all the avail 2008 points, can we roll them over to next year, and how is this done on a resale purchase?

Not inside Wyndam, once the use year starts, even if you buy retail with the point size, however, you can always deposit them to outside exchange company. If you are planning on 2009 points, and can not use them all, you can put them in credit pool, it is extra $30 (not sure the exact figure, use to be $25)

You can use them together during standard reservation period (10 month within).

6. Where do you find out about the last minute vacancies that are available?

Internally - Wyndham's website, exchange company - their own website. Renting - tug, eBay, Some friendly last min this site, Wyndham owner only forum (forums.atozed.com)
