  • Using FF points for cruises

Has anybody done this ? would it be more expensive than booking online?

I've not done it, but the consensus on this and the other forums has been that it's more economical to book a cruise without going through Wyndham.

If you want to "use" your points towards a cruise, rent your points to another owner (going rate is about $5 to $6.50 per 1000 points) then use that cash towards the cruise.

      I've inquired about this.

      - You have to book within 60 days to 10 months of travel I believe
      - It includes a 2 night stay in 1 br and your cruise for 2 people (you can add using pionts for additional people)
      - You can also rent points if its within 90days for $5 per 1K with Wyndam

      - Cost ranges frojm 196K for a off season 4 day Bahama Cruise (inside cabin for 2) or 1,007,000 for a premium room on a 7 day Carribean cruise.

I plan on using it just because I don't want to bother renting points or coming out of pocket any cash - to much work for me now. However, if you add point for point its probably cheaper to rent the points you have then use your profits to book the cruise. However, its more work to do that.
