  • Use of transferred or rented FSP points

If someone rents or transfers points to my FSP account can I transfer those same points to another Wyndham member?

My understanding is, you can as long as is is not original account it from. But you may need call several times to get to a VC willing to do it.

The one time I rented points, they showed up as "regular" use-year points. I think that means that they can be transferred. I wouldn't assume it, though--with Wyndham all things are possible.

I called Wyndham and the rep I spoke with looked it up and confirmed with her supervisor.

She said once points are transferred to your account then they must stay with your account. They cannot be transferred to anyone else.

So based upon some of the earlier feedback....are exceptions made to this and is it a matter of calling and finding a rep that actually will do it?

Read the main board discuss about the renting. I always consume the point since I have too little of them. I believe Glenn says he did it.

So I will take it will be a matter to find some VC that willing to do it.

...which is usually the case with Wyndham.

I've actually never tried this, so I don't have any first-hand experience.

Another quesiton: suppose I rent Jan '09 UY points. Can I pool them in 2008?

We probably should move this type of questions to HOA board. The answer is depends on the rule (which allows you) that can changes in one night, and how they train their VC, which will require you to call several VC.
