Originally posted by lauragThis is a very naive response. Who do you think is the BIGGEST "megarenter?" WYNDHAM EXTRA HOLIDAYS! Do you realize they rent out prime weeks ALL the time? Do you realize that it's YOUR/OUR inventory that they're renting out, making 100% profit? Do you realize Extra Holidays has Christmas weeks at resorts where you can't even check availability yet? Whom do you think all of these changes help??? WYNDHAM AND EXTRA HOLIDAYS. NONE of the changes help the "average owner." Even if you own 100,000 points and vacation 2 days a year, this affects YOU. The changes have made the Wyndham system very inflexible and have devalued ALL of our timeshares. Don't believe me? Check out how cheaply the Wyndham points are selling for on eBay right now.ken H.,Ballston Lake, NY

However, with economic situation went bad recently, most hotels do see their occupancy rate drop even lower than 911 standard. So you should benefits from that and see more floating week appear on your side if they never get converted into Wyndham's point system.

We went to our Owners Update yesterday and the 'wonderful' sales woman informed us that this rental/exchange of points between owners benefit was never taken away......she argued 'she would know' since she has worked there for 12 years or whatever.........since she wanted to argue about it and sell me the VIP package I told here to reference the numerous web sites dedicated to the subject and that our little meeting was over.
Thought I would share the good news........LOL."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."

I need to rent my point because I became unemployed and can't use them at this time. I've had several timeshare businesses contact me to rent my credits and they want up to $1,000 in advance to do this but I would make $5,000. Are these legitimate offers? I've had offers from the Worldmark forum to rent them but the offers were VERY low. Since it seems we can't rent to them now anyway, should I use one of the businesses who contacted me? Does anyone know which of these businesses are best. Thanks!

I will say as long as it covers your cost, plus some, than it will be reasonable for you, but sometime, there could have people in desperate mood and willing to take less.
