  • Is RCI needed to use other Wyndham resorts?

    Hi all!

Recently bought our first time share - some Wyndham points at Grand Desert - waiting on the closing process to finish up at this point. We are wondering if we will be able to use our points at other Wyndham properties without going through RCI? Can when just call other Wyndham properties directly with our membership info and schedule, or is there some other process we will need to figure out? Is there an extra fee if we're not using RCI?

    Thanks!

    Hi

You should be given a member number and then look up the Wyndam web site it will give you the amount of points you will need to go to what resort you wanting to go to you do not have to use RCI to change into Wyndam owned resorts but if you want to use other resorts not owned by Wyndam that is when you use RCI

The purpose of the points system is that you can use them at different locations, different times of the year and different size rooms. You do not have to use RCI to use your Wyndham points to visit other Wyndham resorts, although you may be able to use RCI and use less points, if the resort is available.

Suggest that you also go to Wyndham Owners Website and read the PRIMER there. It is dedicated just to the Wyndham resorts. A lot of us, use both sites.
