What is the difference between the two? On e-bay they have Wyndham Fairfield and Wyndham Fairfield Plus resorts.
Thank you!
They are the same entity and point system. Fairfield Vacation Resorts was acquired by Cendent. When it split up, it created a new company, Wyndham Worldwide that owns the timeshare businesses and hotel businesses. At that point it changed the name of Fairfield Vacation Resorts to Wyndham Vacation Resorts.
The point exchange system that is/was used by Fairfield/Wyndham Vacation Resorts is called Fairshare Plus.
Thanks for your help. This board has been most helpful!
BTW, Cendent also owns a company that I work for. It is a huge company that owns 3 real estate companies (Coldwell Banker, Century 21, ERA), 2 car rental companies, Wyndham, Cheaptickets.com, a major airline company, couple of other reosrts, and so many other companies that I can't even name as they own so many companies. It is a huge company!
