Yes I have stayed here. Was for Spring break so weather was not real warm and had no problems crossing the street for the beach. The Outdoor pool on Tower 1 gets much more sun than the one across the street. I did like this since was first week of April. No complaints and would return again although would like warmer beach.
We were just there last week. My in-laws were the Points owners and we were their guests. They were a little disappointed with the cleanliness, but we were quite happy with it. Tower 2 is our favorite (we stayed in Tower 3 last year). Tower 4 is not as nice since it is across the street. In the summer, the tower 4 pool is scorching since there is no shade. The pools in the main section were rather chilly and the wind at night can really blow between the buildings, but the hot tubs are nice and toasty. With 2 lazy rivers and immediate access to the beach, there is always something for the kids to do (we have a 7, 5 and 18mo).
If you're going during the summer, I highly recommend a canopy, you can get a nice one for under $100 at Wal-Mart and it makes the beach much more enjoyable. We could stay out there all day since we always had some shade to retreat to. As long as you set it up before the umbrella vendors arrive and don't block the lifeguard's view (oops ), you should have good views of the waves (and any small children).
EDIT: We stayed on the top floor in room 35 of Tower 2 this time, the view was awesome. Also, parking in the 1-3 towers is quite limited, you will almost certainly park in tower 4 (or even behind that) if you aren't done and parked by 8pm (even in the low season).
