What is the best way to use points I can't use

I have 245k points for this year I can't use. What is the best way to use the points. I have used them to pay for maintenance fees before but is this the best way to use them? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try exchanging them into RCI, that should buy you significant time to decide where to go with them

Yes, deposit them to external exchange company. Than put next all year's point into credit pool, or make a decent reservation, and try to rent it out. And use external company to make travel plan for next year.

When deposit to other exchange company, you will need a real week, some company does not care the week and place (DAE), some do (SFX), so you may need to check with them.

When deposit to RCI, try deposit only 70k or 28k combination.
