Need advice fast!

Hi,
We just purchased 154000 points with Wyndham in SC through one of their sales pitches. We may still have time to cancel. Did we make a mistake? Should we have just bought resale online, or are there actually benefits to buying direct through Wyndham?
Also, if we buy more points online, do they go to our current member # and do we get the same benefits? Also, is VIP membership worth buying more points for and if I buy resale do those points add towards VIP status?

My advice to you is to rescind. You paid too much if you bought from Wyndham. Follow the instructions to the letter. Return any goodies they sent you home with including the RCI directory. Send this to the address stated certified mail and do it as soon as possible.

Take your time and do your research here. We have many very happy Wyndham owners here and they will help you more than I can. They will also advise you to rescind.

If, in the end, you feel that purchasing from the developer is the way you want to go the deal you have in hand will still be available to you.

I agree with Lawren.
Also, to answer another of your questions, resale points do NOT count toward VIP.
After you have taken some time to learn the system, you can then decide if retail and VIP, OR resale work best for your plans and budget.
There is no urgency. Points will be there for you to buy whenever you decide.

There are some advantages to buying retail in Wyndham, but when added up they do not equal the value you can get buy buying resale.
You can't use resale points for making VIP but you can buy 3 times as many points or more for the same price making the VIP benefits mostly a non issue.
I agree with Lawren, rescind if you can.
