  • Wyndham owner Confused ..Interval International

SO I cancelled a trip earlier in the year and wyndham told me I had to put the points into Inteval, so I did. I have 2 questions can I pick any hotel to use my points at interval? and The 2nd question is is tehre anyway I can bank points to next year? I have owned the timeshare for a year and I bought it at Royal Vista. Just trying to figure out all of the ins and outs which tehre seem to be alot of.

    Thanks for your help.

Interval International works with weeks only. Most likely if you deposited to Interval- it was the specific reservation you had that was banked.

You should then have the ability to exchange like for like. In other words- if you banked a high season week in a 1br villa, you should be able to request a high season week in a 1br villa at a similarly rated resort (if it's available!)..

Your points themselves would be banked internally with Wyndham. To bank your remaining points, you'd contact Wyndham directly and push them into the next usage year. Check with owner services to get info on the specific banking procedures and fees.

Welcome to the forums by the way! Be sure to read as much as you can to get helpful info from other owners on using your system, and also on working with the various exchange companies.

    Good luck!

I have 2 questions can I pick any hotel to use my points at interval? YOU CAN TRY TO EXCHANGE INTO WHATEVER TIMESHARES (NOT HOTELS) II HAS BUT IT IS DEPENDENT ON AVAILABILITY AND THE TIME OF YEAR U ARE LOOKING FOR. YOU PAY AN EXCHANGE FEE OF $139/149 DOMESTIC AND $154/164 INTERNATIONAL.

and The 2nd question is is there anyway I can bank points to next year? THESE POINTS/DEPOSITS ARE NOW WITH II - THEY CAN ONLY BE DEPOSITED AS A FULL WEEK AND U WILL EXCHANGE FOR A FULL WEEK. THE POINTS ARE GOOD FOR TWO YEARS FROM THE TIME U DEPOSITED THEM.

I have owned the timeshare for a year and I bought it at Royal Vista. Just trying to figure out all of the ins and outs which tehre seem to be alot of.

HI MARK AND WELCOME TO TS4MS - some answers in caps above

I am a Wyndham II owner - I also own at Royal Vista - purposely purchased first so I can deposit my points in II.

My first question to you - how many points and how did u deposit?
As 28K low season studios or 77K low season 2BRs or 105K mid season 1BR or 70K high season/red studio???
Did u deposit more then one week?
      I deposited my 2009 points as 2 77K low season 2BRs and 3 28K low season studios.

And do u currently have a 'search' in place using those points?
If u do, the search can be up to two years from now.

If u don't have a current search, u probably want to put one in - call Wyndham and tell them u want to put in a search but II can't 'see' your deposit. They will do a 3 way call and u will pay the exchange fee.
Choose the Four Seasons Aviara for June 2011 - u want to do this because a. u won't get it! and b. it is two years from now giving u a BIG window of time to look for something else.
You will now also be able to 'see' your deposit in II and search with it online.
And if u can see something u like online, u can confirm it right away.

I know this is a LOT of information.... think it over and please feel free to ask more questions.

I know I have 2 weeks in red season one in a 1 bedroom and 1 in a 2 bedroom. Ill stay at wyndham through Interval just to use them. So im guessing booking through II is not easy from what you guys/girls are telling me. And as far as banking them if i have to put them through II so its better to make sure I use them every year...This is waaay confusing ..LOL

look like you have not make any deposit yet. Not an II owner, but my understanding is it allow you to do a "virtue" search. You don't have to make deposit, you can just search on line yourself. So call Wyndham, ask them your II account number, make sure you can get connected on-line. Login, you should be able to find the link to search. That will give you some idea what kind of deposit you need to make. You may want try on some future days and days within 45 days which is the date II suppose give you match to almost everything you can get as long as it is there.

Once you get the idea, you can make your decision.

Actually, booking thru II is easy, you just need to know what u r doing.
I just exchanged into a studio at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club in March using a 2BR 77K deposit.
I have also exchanged into Bluebeard's BeachClub St Thomas studio using a 28K studio deposit and into a resort in Texas for a friend using a studio 28K and getting a 2BR unit in return.

Whether your Wyndham ownership is associated with II or RCI, it takes a bit of knowledge to learn how to use it properly and to your best advantage.
