    Hello,
Will be traveling to Florida for the Holiday season.
    Our route is Toronto-Sarasota-Toronto.
Have to be back 4th of Jan.2010..... for school....
Was planning to check in somewhere half way....
Leaving it for last minute, there is not much avalable....
Would it be TN or VA...
We could take HWY 75 or HWY 95.
Found some avail. at Kingsgate to check in on 31 st. Dec.
How is the weather in TN or VA in end of DEC..?
Should I gamble and risk to find something else pop up in other resorts ?
    I have to girls 6 and 9.
If there is an indoor pool and whirlpool we are happy
Any suggestions ? Oh yah, I'm a Whyndam owner...this will be our first resort use...Kingsgate is our homeresort by the way...
    Any advice is appreciated!

Kingsgate has indoor pool and Whirlpool. It also has game room, Few years ago, every room will be charged $5 does matter if you use the game room or not.

TN also has indoor pool and Whirlpool.

You can use weather to check the Dec temp. Sometimes, it may have some snow cover in both places.

You may want to pull Yahoo or google map, and set the middle point on either resort to see how far the drive will take you.

Both places have outlet shopping mall around.

Kingsgate just finished the refurbish last year.

Could be mistaken, I believe get out and play is RCI. It has excess inventory, so ask you to take it. Login to RCI and check the vacation offer like last call and Extra vacation.

Wyndham usually call resort special (it means the resort will have special discount), or play day (which just mean they try to tell you a little bit on the resort)

We went to Kingsgate this summer and my ten year old son LOVED it. You pay a $5 a day activities fee and you can play in their two very nice gamerooms, put put golf, and any other activity they have is covered in the fee. I think they even had karayoke and smores but we didn't make that. You can call the resort and they will be able to tell you more about what they will have on the agenda for the time you will be there.

You can even go to Govonor's Green and play on their golf course, etc. We did not go, but you can if you'd like to.

When I was there a little over a year ago, the fee was $5 per person for the entire week. Has it gone up that drastically?!?

It was $5 a day. We were there three days so they may have charged us a little differently than a family that was staying for a week. We had five people in our party.

That sounds right. In the Member's Directory 2009-2010, it states that "there is a mandatory daily fee per unit". In the previous directory, it said that there was a mandatory $5 per unit daily fee.

                    Kingsgate

Just called Kingsgate to confirm and yes there is a mandatory
resort fee of $5/day !!! for the use of all the amenities.
Unfortunately that is the only resort avail for end of Dec...

I didn't like the idea of the fee either, but I have to say that my kids thought it was well worth it. My son who is 10 said this is the best resort he ever went to. After I saw all the enjoyment he got out of the activities I thought the fee was worth it and wondered why other resorts didn't do the same.

]Yes, thank you for the advice.

                          Kings Creek is booked too.

I'm limited with the days and locations where we could go...

After being on the computer 24/7 and coming up empty handed, called Wyndham and...Spent one hour twice today on the phone with them
                          to find anything....

Surprize, they had a bit different availaebility than what was on the net...
                          GOT ALMOST WHAT i WANTED!!!!
                          not bad for last minute.....
