unexchec in is May 8 to a two bedroom unit that I traded with RCI. unexpected health problems keep me from leaving.

I tried something different this time. i usually go to a timeshare, end up sick and go to ER and or hospital. this time i went to Er or hospital before the trip. maybe we can get a few days in. Doctor said wait a week, then he said 4 or 5 days, then he said a couple of days, so what sall i do? I vote for wait one day

I am wondering, since if we go we will miss several days, how long trip from St Mary's will take. that way maybe we will see some of the area on the way, and not backtrack.

we arrived late tonight, Monday, which will give us three days. It is a really nice two bedroom unit, each bedroom has a king bed, and a great view from the balcony. we are on 4th floor.

Please try the Apple Barn for breakfast (really good apple fritters) Be sure to go to the ORIGINAL There is another Apple Barn near there that's not nearly as good. To make sure you are at the right one there will be an actual barn behind the restaurant with lots of great souvoniers (sp) I ran into Aaron Tippen there once and had a wonderful time. The food is always good. (Home cooking) Another great place is the OLD Mill with similar food but more expensive. Don't miss Dollywood. Their shows are great. Wish I had known earlier that you were coming. I'd have loved to finally get to meet you. Have a wonderful time.

So glad to hear that you made it. When we were there, we were also in a 2br unit on the 4th floor, and as we arrived there was a double rainbow over the Smokies that we gawked at from our balcony. And I second shaggy's advice about the Apple Barn. Hope you have a great time.

shaggy, do you think Dollywood is worth it for two old codgers who won't do rides that add to already existing vertigo.

we did eat at the Old Mill, and we ate at the Greenbriar tonight which was excellent. Is Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville?
may try to go to beans and cornbread festival on Thursday in Gatlinburg

Dollywood is very pretty with lots to see without the rides. The only thing is that it is very hilly. I don't know if you're up to that kind of walking yet.

We never thought we would like Dollywood, but we really did like it a lot, and have been back. There is music everywhere, early crafts, not so many rides, well worth it if you're able. Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge.
