If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

The beach (http://www.vinow.com/community/compo...ree-beach.html) at the resort is never crowded, there just is not a lot of people there. Beaches are public on STT but since parking is restricted here to resort guests, it is never an issue.

The grassy area runs right down to the beach and there is also shaded seating areas with palapas there. Then you of course have the pool crowd which also overlooks the beach.

St Thomas is a BIG cruise ship port - sometimes 8-10 ships a day in January-March, so having an uncrowded resort beach is a big plus. We plan our trips to town (to go to The Ship Wreck http://www.shipwreckstthomas.com/shipwreck-tavern/ or Fat Turtle http://fatturtle.net or Gladys' Cafe http://www.gladyscafe.com) and to other beaches such as Megans Bay http://www.vinow.com/community/compo...agens-bay.html and Coki Beach http://www.vinow.com/community/compo...oki-point.html on the number of ships in.

If you watch the video, right in the beginning you can see the Marriott hotel in the distance - we often go there to use the bar, restaurants and beaches - some of my favorite snorkeling is right off the Frenchmans Cove beach. The beauty of this is that it is so close by and we do not have to go thru town to get there.

We love to go every year but 2015 finds us doing an extended Cayman Island and then Costa Rica trip - my loss is your gain.

Thanks for the info Pat! Good to know. I haven't been to St Thomas in a very long time. As you know, I currently have a request in for a couple of weeks in 2015, although I'm not planning on it coming through. Lol. My plans are nowhere near finalized, but this resort is another very good option. I'm gonna go look at the video again, and check out the Marriott.

            BTW, enjoy CI & CR!!!
