    Welcome --

Can you help me understand the Marriott priority? If a Marriott week gets canceled within 90 days, is it stil subject to the Marriott priority?

I'm also trying to figure out if an ongoing search (not necessarily Marriott - any week) still will get matched during flexchange, or if all inventory within flexchange shows up online irrespective of ongoing searches.

Looking forward to the inside scoop!!

Btw, am curious as to what your role was at II, if you are able to share -

    TIA--

      Hello,

Can you tell me if an ongoing request with deposit first has priority over a request first? Thanks.

I am really curious how many unit get automatically matched. I know I can see the left overs but just looking for what rough percentage this accounts for.

Also I would like to know when the changes occur. For example. If I have a 2 bedroom that can pull decent but not the good stuff, when beside flexchange will this change as the checkin date gets closer. For example, a year out should be tough but 6 months does it change. 90 days, 60, 30 etc.

Finally what's the most requested units.

From a previous thread I never found answer to.
II and post card offers for ACs

            --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have never received a post card - but have received ACs for all my deposits over the last couple of years for the two TS's I own. But, I did have an issue getting one this year on one of my units. I was faced with the "you need a post card" speech.

            Anyway - to my question.

My TS's are all float weeks. II has a week assigned to them when I use my units. But, I usually book early and obtain high demand weeks.

How would II know to send me a post card when they don't know what week I end up reserving.

Example: they have May assigned to my near Daytona TS. I always book either bike or Daytona 500 week (highest demand). When they are looking ahead at what to offer ACs for - what is stopping them from assuming I have that May week?

              Hi there,

I'm new to this timeshare thing. I recently just purchased a timeshare in Las Vegas (Planet Hollywood towers). I have gone on the interval website but I am a little confused as what does "depositing a week" mean? If I deposit a week do I lose ownership of the timeshare?

                Hi,
                Welcome to TS4M's.

To answer your question...No when you deposit your week into an exchange company like II, RCI or any other one; you don't give up your ownership. All you are doing is "banking" the deposit for that use year because you would like to trade it for another resort besides your own.

In other words...for one reason or another, you decide you are unable or don't want to stay at "ABC" resort this year. You can deposit your week into an exchange company and try for someplace else at another time of the year or sometime in the future..up to 2 years away.

Usually though you must call and join an exchange company first before you can deposit

                  Hi Cathy,

You don't lose ownership of the timeshare but you DO lose ownership of that particular week for that year.

Once you deposit a particular week into an exchange company, you no longer can use that week yourself or give it to a friend or rent it or give it to ANOTHER exchange company
                  .
What you can do is exchange it for another persons week that has been deposited with that company.

Is this what you were asking?

Thanks jericap and Grayfal. That answers my question so basically you can trade in one of your weeks for a vacation in a different location other than your timeshare resort is what I am understanding?

                          Thanks for the quick response!

Maybe he/she is working for RCI.
