I got a notice in the mail that one of my resort is entitled to an AC if I deposit it before 8-29. I deposited it some time ago and already used it for an upcoming exchange. Is there any chance that I could get a bonus week for it? Thought I would get some input before I called them.

The new rule at II is that if you deposit your week prior to getting notice that your week qualifies for an AC, you are not entitled to the AC.
However, since this is the first year that rule is in effect, I was able to get an AC after I had deposited my week. I called them as soon as I received notice that my week qualified for an AC. I hadn't yet used the week, but I'm not sure that would make a difference.
I'd give them a call, and explain to them that you were unaware of the new rule, and were expecting to receive an AC. Good luck!!!Angela

Good luck is right. They don't seem to understand that they are now discouraging early deposits.
If you manage to get a supervisor to do it for you (and you might or might not - it took me a great deal of teeth gnashing), there will likely be a prominent note in your account stating that the new rules were explained to you in detail and that you aren't to be allowed to do it again.... I know there is in mine
Let us know how you do. This is why I haven't deposited anything else with II. Yet
I just looked at the new mailers. If I give them a white/blue winter week and deposit it by the end of August they'll give me an A/C. But not if I give them the prime holiday summer week I just booked a year out. Maroons.

It was a Good Friday check-in at Tree Tops in Gatlinburg. After a lot of talking and working with a Marriott rep (I own two Marriott Monarch Timeshares) they gave me the AC. Thanks for the advice and help.

The prime weeks have strong trading power and get good trades and owners are more likely to deposit with the expectation of an even-ish exchange. But the offseason weeks don't do nearly as well. So maybe II is incentivizing the offseason owners to deposit since it's worth it to II for the fees - and they can circulate the weak weeks among the weak owners and even throw in a free weak week to boot... I wonder if they aren't changing what you can see in flexchange based on trading power... just thinking out loud...Angela

Isn't the XYZ offer where they give another of the same week, for an additional exchange fee? Same check-in date, etc.
If so, I would think that would work great with weeks that normally appear as getaways. Not so great for holiday weeks.
Also, you get a year to use an AC, unlike the XZY program which I think works great if you're in need of two of the same units, at the same time.Angela

That's odd, no one mentioned the 'same' unit. It could be a unit anywhere, comparable, within a certain time parameter. I saw it most often discussed where perceived inequities, like 'trading down' a 3BR for a 2BR, were addressed after the fact by offering up another 2BR somewhere else for a nominal fee (I think I saw 159.00, which is the exchange fee, right?).
Looking at the new Marriott points charts, if they're any guidance at all, I've never received a comparable trade in II for my NCV's. It's always been a downtrade, whether in season, resort or amenities. I knew there was a reason why I like rent swapping
