  • Cancelling a II exchange of a week that has been extended?

I have a week that I extended the expiration date for. Due to family stuff, I haven't been able to use it and it expires mid January. I'd prefer to use it in Feb.. looking for a Flexchange exchange. If I make a reservation and then cancel it, do I lose the week or do I get a cancellation week good for a year (so would booking a week, paying the exchange fee, and then canceling it effectively give me a year extension for the cost of the exchange fee)?

If so, how does the exchange week work? Does it still have Marriott preference, and I assume it would have Flexchange limitations.

    Thanks

I don't think your original week will get extended by cancelling an exchange.

Any cancelation week you get will expire when the original deposit expires, or in one year, whichever is earlier.

Generally, a cancelation week should have the same trading power and priority (Marriott, etc.) as the original week.
